Head of Trust & Estate Services

Leandro Vicuña, JD

For over 20 years, Leandro has provided trust and investment services for families, business owners, and nonprofit organizations. He coaches and mentors his team about fiduciary best practices and wealth transfer strategies to deliver meaningful solutions to clients. Leandro earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Thomas Cooley Law School and his BA in law at UCSB. Leandro is also a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School and an Advisory Board Member of Mainstreet Investment Advisors.

He is passionate about serving the needs of his community, and was awarded with “Special Senate Recognition” for his Innovative Youth Education Program in 2016. He was chairman of JUMA ventures advisory board, former board director of Hospice of San Joaquin, Summer Search & Latinos in Finance, featured in “Top 100 Finance Magazine” and “Marquis Who’s Who”. In addition, he is an author for Forbes Finance Council and Founder & President of the Greater Lathrop Chamber.

Senior Trust Officer

Michael Turner

Michael has been doing consultative planning and wealth transfer work in the financial services industries for almost three decades. His experience also includes work as a Personal Financial Advisor for high-net-worth individuals, complex estate planning and business succession plans, and work as a Private Wealth Advisor, Client Portfolio Manager and Business Development Officer. He joined Fremont Bank in September 2022 as a Senior Trust Officer in Wealth Management & Trust Services.

Michael is passionate about having personalized discussions with clients about their vision for their estate and finding unique solutions to complicated estates and wealth transfer issues. Michael attended the University of Oregon and is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA).

Senior Trust Officer

William Diebel

William Diebel started his career administering trusts and estates at The Northern Trust Company in downtown Chicago. After 12 years at Northern Trust Bill enrolled in the Christie’s Education program in London earning a diploma in fine and decorative arts with a special focus on Italian Renaissance and Baroque painting and sculpture. Upon returning to Chicago Bill served as the Director of Planned Giving at The Art Institute of Chicago. In 1999 Citigroup Private Bank hired Bill to serve as the Senior Trust Officer for the western region of the United States moving him from Chicago to San Francisco. In 2005 Bill joined Wells Fargo as Senior Trust Officer focusing on the bank’s largest and most complex relationships. He became a realtor in San Francisco in 2014 assisting clients in buying and selling high-end residences in the northern part of the city. In 2018 Bill joined Bank of the West as a Principal Fiduciary Officer again working on the bank’s largest and most complex trusts and estates. Today Bill serves as a Senior Trust Officer at Fremont Bank.

Bill has been involved with many civic organizations in San Francisco including the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Ballet, Smuin Ballet and San Francisco Opera to name a few. Bill enjoys hiking, skiing and travel, particularly in Italy and Scotland. In addition to English, Bill is fluent in Spanish and Italian.

Trust Real Estate Officer

Ronald Chaisson

Leveraging more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Ron Chaisson is responsible for managing personal trust, investment management, IRA accounts, and real estate assets for high-net-worth individuals. His focus is working with individuals and families, business owners, executives and professionals, and institutions and foundations. Ron collaborates with his colleagues on the Fremont Bank Team to ensure real estate assets that he recommends are in harmony with a client’s total wealth management plan.

Prior to joining Fremont Bank, Ron held trust positions with Mechanics Bank, Key Bank, and Union Bank. He earned his BA degree from Western New England College. Ron’s experience in estate planning, real estate asset management, and financial services has allowed him to obtain a professional designation of a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor. Ron enjoys traveling with his family and caring for their White German shepherd, Prince.

Joanne Mina

Joanne Mina joined Fremont Bank as Trust Officer in 2021.  Mrs. Mina has over 15 years of trust experience where she handles complex accounts including revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, special needs trust, investment management agency accounts and custodial accounts.

Mrs. Mina is a graduate of Personal Trust School from Cannon Financial Institute.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines.

Mrs. Mina is an active community volunteer with local non-profits such as United Way of Monterey County, Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County and The Salvation Army. In her personal time, Joanne enjoys running, long walks with their dogs and travelling.

Associate Trust Officer

Maiette Carino

Maiette has been in the banking industry for 13 years. She provides a wide range of administrative support to clients and internal colleagues. Her main focus is to ensure that client needs are met with utmost diligence and respect.

Maiette enjoys the outdoors and road trips. She loves to go hiking with family and friends. She also loves to cook and experiment with new recipes in her free time.
