Meet Denise Correa, a manager in the Fraud Investigations Unit (FIU) who’s been overseeing fraud-related disputes at Fremont Bank for over six years. As a subject matter expert she guides the FIU team to maintain efficiency and strong productivity.
How long have you worked at Fremont Bank and what do you do here?
I've been with Fremont Bank for over six years and currently serve as a manager of the Fraud Investigations Unit (FIU). I ensure that fraud claims are resolved accurately and in a timely manner. I also work closely with branches and various departments bankwide to provide support on fraud matters, helping to protect both our clients and the bank from potential threats.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
What I most enjoy is protecting both us and our clients from potential fraud. Fraud investigation is truly my passion. I’m fortunate to lead a dedicated team. Our collaboration is strong, not just within our unit but across multiple departments. Working together to stop fraud is incredibly rewarding.
What’s your greatest strength as a business professional?
My greatest strength is perseverance; I don’t give up easily. I believe in the saying, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” If I don’t know something, I’m not afraid to ask questions or seek help. I value collaboration and believe that working together always leads to better outcomes.
If you were going to design an ice cream sundae with unlimited supplies, what would it look like?
It would have three scoops of strawberry ice cream, topped with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, gummy bears, sour gummy worms, hot caramel sauce, and of course, a cherry on top!
What's your favorite go-to snack?
