Keeping the heart — and hearts — of a community beating

In 2021 alone, St. Rose Hospital’s cath lab personnel conducted more than 2,600 cardiac procedures, providing vital care for residents of Alameda County and surrounding areas. To fulfill its mission, St. Rose relies on funding, donations, and foundational support from organizations like Fremont Bank Foundation. That support is even more essential in times of crisis. Recently, St. Rose Hospital’s cath lab equipment was rendered obsolete, and thousands of local lives were suddenly at risk.

St. Rose Hospital was thrilled when Fremont Bank Foundation donated $750,000 to the St. Rose Hospital Foundation to upgrade its cath lab to new equipment. A new catalyst cardiac catheterization laboratory machine will keep serving — and improving the health of — the Bay Area community, well into the future.

The hospital is now able to keep providing services and delivering on its mission to Bay Area cardiac patients as a result of this high-quality equipment purchase.

Giving back is in our Blood

Community is something we take to heart at Fremont Bank. It’s why health and wellness — from advancing physical and mental wellness to addressing life-threatening diseases — is a cornerstone of the Fremont Bank Foundation’s investment in the lives of Bay Area residents.

These efforts — at the center of the Foundation’s work — are made possible by the clients who bank with us every day. Brian Hughes, Fremont Bank Foundation president, shared, “Clients of community banks like ours help keep their dollars local, and St. Rose Hospital is a vital part of the health and well-being of all of Alameda County.”

Over many years, we’ve committed to supporting organizations like St. Rose Hospital (an independent and not-for-profit community hospital providing essential services to Alameda County, especially to underserved and underinsured residents) and the St. Rose Hospital Foundation.

When our community is healthier, residents thrive and look to us for their banking needs. This, in turn, allows us to contribute even more back to the community. This interwoven relationship is why the work of St. Rose Hospital and Fremont Bank Foundation is so critical. “As a community bank’s Foundation, we really listen to our neighbors’ needs, because giving back is in our blood. So, we knew we had to help out when St. Rose Hospital Foundation expressed the importance behind upgrading its catheterization lab machine,” said Brian Hughes.
