Since the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic started in 2020, there’s been no better time to work together as a community to help maintain the health of our citizens. At Fremont Bank, we’ve always been dedicated to helping our community, so we felt compelled to find a way to do just that. As a result, we’re proud to announce that the Fremont Bank Foundation has generously donated $150,000 to our longtime partner, Washington Hospital.

Our donation to Washington Hospital has been allocated to the COVID-19 team of physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists who are treating COVID-19 patients. The funds will help their COVID-19 relief efforts and their Rapid Screening and Treatment Unit (RSTU). The RSTU is specifically designated to quickly aid patients with respiratory illnesses, including suspected COVID-19. Donations like these are especially important and timely, as hospitals are stretched thin trying to get the best outcomes for COVID-19 patients.

Washington Hospital, located right here in Fremont, CA, has been serving our community since 1958. As an acute-care hospital, Washington Hospital treats and handles all suspected coronavirus cases according to infectious disease protocols, following strict guidelines defined by the California Department of Public Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Giving back to those in the community that help improve how we live is a cornerstone for Fremont Bank. As a Fremont Bank customer, you can count on your dollars going back into the community towards worthy recipients like Washington Hospital.
