Yesterday afternoon, some of our clients experienced intermittent issues while trying to use their Fremont Bank debit card, leading to the inability to complete purchases or ATM transactions. While this did not impact all clients, we are providing additional information regarding the situation.
Please be advised that a number of our clients have reported receiving calls about their debit cards. These calls appear to be coming from 510-792-2300, which is a valid Fremont Bank phone number, but these calls are not being made by Fremont Bank. The call seems to be an automated message, validating the last 4 digits of the client’s card number, and requesting the security code from the back of the card.
