It has come to our attention that some of our debit card holders have received a card alert text message, that appears to be from Fremont Bank, instructing them to call and provide information about their debit card, including their full card information and pin number. A copy of the text message is included below for your reference:

At Fremont Bank we have multiple layers of security to protect your financial information, and we are working to identify the source of this message and shut it down. Please remember to act with caution when responding to any messages regarding your accounts.
We will never ask you for a pin number or any of your passwords, and if you are ever asked to provide this information please contact us through our branch network or Client Contact Center at 800-359-BANK(2265) or the number listed on the back of your card.
