Bank’s Nonprofit Group Vice President to serve as Panelist
FREMONT, Calif., May 7, 2015—Fremont Bank, a leading full-service community bank in California, announced today that Brian Hughes, Nonprofit Group Vice President and Fremont Bank Foundation board member will be participate in the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance (TVNPA) panel discussion to be held at the Livermore Bankhead Theater on Thursday, May 14.
This event titled “It’s More Than a Treasure Hunt: Learning How to Partner with Grant-makers” will address essential aspects of applying for grants.
Mr. Hughes will join local corporate charity representatives and experts to shed light on giving criteria and grant-maker expectations for nonprofit organizations seeking funding. This will include information about organizations’ eligibility and how to submit grant proposals. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask specific questions and participate in the discussion.
“We prefer to seek out and select first-hand the organizations and projects for potential grant funding,” said Hughes. “Getting to know the people who manage the organizations we support and how they operate is fundamental to our grant-making strategy.”
In 2014, the Fremont Bank Foundation awarded 160 grants for a total of $2,585,275. The mission of Fremont Bank Foundation is to provide funding to nonprofit organizations for the implementation of services and programs that enhance the quality of life for all people in the communities served by Fremont Bank.
