, a leading full-service community bank in California, is organizing associates, family members, and clients to participate in the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure in Napa Valley on Sunday, May 3, 2015. The Tour de Cure is a bike ride designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist with routes ranging from 10 miles to 100 miles in an effort to raise money and awareness for the American Diabetes Association.
Andrew Mastorakis, President and CEO of Fremont Bank, Kim Burdick, Senior Vice President Community Bank, and Gary DeLuca, Senior Vice President Residential Lending, have assembled a corporate riding team, Team Fremont Bank. Currently, the team consists of over 50 participants and is approaching their $40,000 fundraising goal, with $35,000 committed to date.
“With so many people affected by diabetes, we are proud to support the American Diabetes Association with their research, education and advocacy,” said Mastorakis who is planning on riding 80 miles. He continued, “Participating in the ride also gives us an opportunity to get outside and improve our wellness, together.”
To encourage fundraising and comradery, each teammate who raises $250 earns a Team Fremont Bank jersey. In addition, when a teammate reaches $250 in donations, the Fremont Bank Foundation will donate $100 to the ADA in their honor.
