Fremont Bank Foundation’s 22 “Holiday Grants” Help Local Non-Profits Offer Food and Services to Deserving Bay Area Residents
FREMONT, California - December 18, 2008 - Fremont Bank Foundation, a philanthropic arm of Northern California’s Fremont Bank, has recently made 22 “holiday grants” to separate Bay Area non-profit organizations that help deserving residents and families with food and other basic needs.
For the past three years, these grants have become a Fremont Bank holiday tradition—and the grants have increased from ten the first year, to 22 in 2008. Each non-profit receives a $1000 grant that directly supports Bay Area individuals and families needing assistance, such as food, clothes, and other essential needs.
“Our community non-profits need our help—especially this time of the year,” says Hattie Hyman Hughes, President, Fremont Bank Foundation. “We’re honored to help and encourage other businesses to assist with providing necessities to those who need it most.”
