Fremont Bank Names Tom Rose Director of Branch Banking
FREMONT, California - November 30, 2006 - Fremont Bank, the Bay Area's most progressive full-service
community bank, announced it has promoted financial services veteran Thomas Rose to the position of director
of branch banking.
Rose, who was previously a regional manager for Fremont Bank, will have responsibility for the operation of
the bank's 24 branches and ATM network in six Bay Area counties. Regional managers of Fremont Bank report to
Rose, who in turn, reports to President and CEO Brad Anderson.
With nearly 35 years of banking experience, including the past six years with Fremont Bank, Rose is an expert
in branch banking operations. He has opened three branches for Fremont Bank - two in Livermore and one in
Brentwood - and has held the positions of Area Manager and Branch Manager for the bank.
"We're delighted to have the opportunity to place responsibility for our branch network into Tom's very capable
hands," says Brad Anderson. "His experience in retail operations is deep and his knowledge of our bank and its
culture will translate into even better service for our customers."
Besides retail at Fremont Bank, Rose's experience includes many years of commercial banking with Mechanics Bank
as well as stints in retail banking with Home Savings and Washington Mutual. During his career he has led a
number of "conversions," complicated transactions involving the transfer of branches, networks, equipment and
other assets in conjunction with acquisitions.
As Director of Branch Banking, Rose says his team will focus on community visibility and involvement. "Fremont
Bank is deeply embedded in each community where it does business and each community is unique," Rose says. "Our
intention is to continue to build our connections and knowledge about the places we serve and to put those assets
to use for businesses and individuals in ways that fully accommodate their needs."
Toward that end, Rose notes he is a member of various boards of charitable and business associations including
the ValleyCare Health System, the Tri Valley Community Foundation and the Livermore Winegrowers Association. He
holds a Series 7 securities license and is licensed by the State of California in life and health insurance. He
resides in Concord.
