Associate Spotlight: Abdul Taeb

In anticipation of the opening of our new flagship branch in Fremont, we would like to focus our attention on none other than the director himself. As this associate approaches a remarkable 10-year milestone with the bank, discover how he has dedicated his time to nurturing growth and mentoring others. Join us in extending a warm welcome to our October Associate Spotlight, Abdul Taeb!

How long have you worked at Fremont Bank and what do you do here?

I am approaching 10 years at Fremont Bank. My current position is director of Main branch and I’m also a client ambassador for Fremont Bank.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I enjoy a few different aspects of my job. I enjoy being a “banker;” I love consulting clients and guiding them in the right direction – that always sets us apart from other financial institutions. I love talking about our culture and then being able to show them as well in the many ways Fremont Bank does.

I also enjoy mentoring and guiding new associates; new to banking or new to Fremont Bank. It gives me satisfaction when they achieve their goals and grow their careers.

What’s your greatest strength as a business professional?

My greatest strength is building relationships with clients and colleagues. I have had some of my most memorable moments with Fremont bank clients, hosting different events, and through the years they have really become family. I’d say the same with my colleagues and even my management team: They have always been supportive of me and have been a driving factor behind my career growth at Fremont Bank. I have really built life long relationships with both clients as well as colleagues in the past 10 years.

What's your current watching, reading or listening binge and what do you like about it?

I’m not watching any shows currently, but some of my favorite shows are Suits, The Office, Banshee, and Sons of Anarchy. I’m also a sucker for ’80s and ’90s movies and shows; it makes me feel nostalgic and reminds me of my childhood.

What's a favorite phrase or piece of advice and what does it mean to you?

My favorite word is “relentless” – the word can apply to both your professional and personal life. A person with a relentless mindset is someone who will always thrive.
