Security Features of Fremont Bank's Visa® Check Card
Fremont Bank takes the security of your money seriously. That's why we use a variety of methods designed to give
you peace-of-mind when using your Visa Check Card. The following are just a few of the steps we take to ensure
you are protected.
Liability
Tell us at once of any unauthorized card transactions and you may not be liable for any fraudulent transactions.
Quick Provisional Credit for Fraud Losses
Fremont Bank's cardholder protection policy requires we provide provisional credit for losses from unauthorized
card use within five business days of notification of the loss. In most cases, provisional credit is made within
24 hours of your notification to us.
Photo Cards
With your picture on our Photo Cards, fraudulent usage may be reduced.
Fraud Monitoring
Your card activity is monitored 24/7. Fremont Bank can detect unusual transaction activity that may indicate fraudulent
use. If that happens, you'll be contacted immediately. If fraudulent transactions were performed with your card, your
card will be closed and will be unusable. Come into one of our convenient branch locations and a new card will be issued
to you.
Address Verification
As an added step of protection, Fremont Bank subscribes to an address verification process. When performing certain
purchases and the merchant asks for your zip code, your card is run through our system to ensure that the zip code
provided is the same one associated with your card. So, even if criminals are able to get your card number, it is
much harder for them to get your address information. If the zip code match fails, the transaction will not be completed.
Bank Statements
Always verify that your monthly statement reflects charges that you authorized. Be sure to check for multiple charges.
To further help, you can access statement information 24/7 by using PAM (Personal Account Manager) or by calling Touch
Tone Banking at (800) 359-BANK. Tell us at once if you think you have any unauthorized transactions.
