Protection Package

One of the most important ways to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft is to keep a close watch on your personal information, accounts and credit reports. To assist you in your efforts, Fremont Bank offers the Protection Package which includes a LifeLock Membership, Small Safe Deposit Box, and waiver of the account’s attached Overdraft Line of Credit annual fee; valued at $175 annually, the Protection Package is available for $9 per month.*

Alerts you whenever LifeLock detects your personal information in fraudulent applications for credit and/or services within LifeLock’s extensive network.2

Patrols the web for the illegal selling or trading of your information. If activity is detected, LifeLock will alert you via email.
   
Reduce Pre-Approved Credit Offers
LifeLock will request your name be removed from pre-approved credit card offer mailing lists. This reduces the possibility of someone rifling through your mail and stealing your personal information.

Small Safe Deposit Box4
Protect valuables that would be difficult or impossible to replace. With a small (3" x 5”) safe deposit box at a convenient Fremont Bank location, items that can be secured include valuables and legal documents.
   
Overdraft Line of Credit5
With an overdraft line of credit, if you overdraw your account, the bank will advance funds up to your available credit limit to cover the overdraft. Apply today; you may be approved up to a maximum of $2,500.


Frequently Asked Questions

Q. If I sign up for the Protection Package at $9 per month, will my spouse and children be covered as well?

A. You cannot add additional Protection Packages to a single checking account. However, you can add additional LifeLock memberships for an additional $9 per month for each additional membership. Each family member will be required to enroll individually through LifeLock.

Q. If I don’t want the Safe Deposit Box or Overdraft Line of Credit, is that okay?

A. You are not required to use all the features of the Protection Package. However, the monthly pricing remains the same so we encourage you to take full advantage of the Protection Package.

Q. What will happen if I decide later that I no longer want the Protection Package?

A. If you decide you no longer want the Protection Package, simply contact your local branch or call 800-359-BANK and your LifeLock membership(s) will be cancelled and the annual fee waiver will be removed from your Safe Deposit Box and Overdraft Line of Credit. 

Q. If I decide later that I don’t want a Lifelock Membership, can I still keep the Safe Deposit Box or Overdraft Line of Credit open?

A. Yes, we can cancel your Lifelock membership(s) while keeping your Safe Deposit Box and Overdraft Line of Credit open. We will simply remove the renewal waivers on the Safe Deposit Box and Overdraft Line of Credit and you will be billed for the annual fees at renewal.

Fremont Bank, its affiliates, and subsidiaries are not liable for any damages resulting from the provision of, or failure to provide, the products or benefits.

2. Network does not cover all transactions and scope may vary.

3. Due to New York State law restrictions, the LifeLock $1 Million Total Service Guarantee cannot be offered to residents of the state of New York.

4. Safe deposit box ("SDB") annual fee waiver applies to the smallest box size (3"x5" or smaller) at the branch of your choice, subject to availability. If a small safe deposit box is not available at your requested location, you will be eligible for an annual fee waiver on a small safe deposit box available at another branch location. Any other fees associated with SDB rental, as listed in Fremont Bank’s Deposit Account Agreement, may be applied. SDB Key Deposit required at the time of rental.

5. Protection Package only covers the cost of the annual fee for the Overdraft Line of Credit. Transfer, late payment, return payment, and over limit fees still apply. Approval of overdraft line of credit is subject to Fremont Bank’s underwriting requirements. All borrowers must provide proof of income

*$9 fee will be automatically deducted from your primary personal checking account on the last day of each statement cycle. The monthly fee for the Protection Package is in addition to any account monthly service charge; Protection Package fee is not subject to any balance fee waiver. Limit one Protection Package per account. Additional LifeLock memberships may be purchased for an additional $9 per month.

Even without a credit monitoring service, you are entitled by law to a free report once every 12 months from each of the national credit reporting agencies— Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Information regarding your credit reporting rights is available from the Federal Trade Commission.
