Corporate Giving Program: Eligibility Guidelines
To be considered for our Corporate Giving Program, organizations must:
- Be classified as a federal tax-exempt charity under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3)
- Demonstrate fiscal and administrative stability
- Operate as an equal opportunity employer
- Address the needs of the communities served by Fremont Bank
We will generally not consider donation requests for the following:
- Individuals
- Political activities
- Development or production of books, films, video or television programs
- Walks or races
- Individual sports teams
- Trips or tours for individuals and groups, including transportation costs
- Operating deficits and debt payment programs
- Endowment
- Golf outings or tournaments not associated with a nonprofit organization or cause
- Membership fees or dues
- National or international organizations, except for local chapters addressing the needs of the communities Fremont Bank serves
- Advertisements*
- In-kind or promotional merchandise *
- Organizations residing outside of the immediate areas served by Fremont Bank
- Individual public educational institutions **
- Underwriting of conferences and seminars
- Organizations that have limited banking relationships with Fremont Bank
- Events that are not endorsed by a shareholder, client or associate of Fremont Bank
- Organizations without a tax-exempt federal 501(c)(3) status *
* Such requests may fall under our guidelines for Marketing Sponsorships, as do requests from nonprofit organizations that have a federal tax-exempt status other than 501(c)(3).
** Fremont Bank supports schools through donation of in-kind services or placement of advertisement via our Marketing Sponsorships program, or through grants from Fremont Bank Foundation to unified school districts. |
