Fremont Bank Foundation Awards $35,000 to Local Food Banks for the Holidays
FREMONT, Calif., December 17, 2012 - Fremont Bank Foundation, a philanthropic arm of Fremont Bank, recently awarded a total of $35,000 to local nonprofits as part of its seventh annual holiday grant program.
Each year, Fremont Bank Foundation partners with local nonprofit organizations to provide food and basic necessities to individuals and families in need. This year, the foundation has chosen 14 local nonprofits that serve food or distribute food baskets to those with the greatest needs in the communities Fremont Bank serves.
“We are fortunate to have a number of outstanding local organizations that care for those in need throughout the year,” said Hattie Hyman Hughes, president of Fremont Bank Foundation. “It's an honor to partner in their work, knowing that more of our most vulnerable local residents will have warm meals during the holiday season.”
