Fremont Bank Introduces B-Charitable Checking Account Program
Bay Area Nonprofits
Program offers Bank’s clients an easy way to financially support Bay Area nonprofits by simply having an active checking account and making purchases
FREMONT, California - May 27, 2010 - Fremont Bank is proud to announce its new B-Charitable checking account designed to support and partner with Bay Area 501(c)(3) public charities, in raising additional funds. During these extraordinary economic times, the B-Charitable program makes it easy and monetarily effortless for Fremont Bank’s clients to contribute to a participating nonprofit they are most passionate about, simply by having an active checking account.
Fremont Bank has a long and rich history of supporting local nonprofits that work to sustain a healthy and vital community. Inspired primarily by Fremont Bank’s Founder Morris Hyman’s vision to continually be good community stewards, the Bank has helped hundreds of nonprofits and injected millions of dollars back into the communities it serves.
HOW B-CHARITABLE WORKS
Through this new checking account program, Fremont Bank will donate a percentage of the account’s average available annual balance directly to a Fremont Bank nonprofit organization that has been designated by the client. In addition, a donation will be made in a fixed amount on all credit and debit transactions using the B-Charitable Visa® Check Card. Fremont Bank will process each donation and automatically distribute the funds to the nonprofit at the end of each year.
“Fremont Bank is proud of the partnerships it has fostered over the years that have improved the communities we serve. We also enjoy getting to know our clients better and the local organizations they support,” said Fremont Bank’s Senior Vice President, Hattie Hyman Hughes. “The B-Charitable checking account program will now give our clients even more opportunities to support the organizations that promote education, arts and culture, and provide health and human services to the Bay Area.”
The following organizations are the first to partner with Fremont Bank for B-Charitable:
- S.A.V.E. – Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments
- Kidango, Inc.
- Abode Services, Inc.
- Davis Street Family Resource Center
- HERS Breast Cancer Foundation
- The Taylor Family Foundation
