Fremont Bank Has Loaned $800 Million In New Home Loans Over The Past 90 Days
Bank aims to assist 15,000-20,000 homeowners by the end of the year

FREMONT, California - April 10, 2009 -In an effort to help homeowners with affordable home loans and capitalize on historically low mortgage rates, Fremont Bank (www.fremontbank.com), a leading full-service community bank in Northern California, has already loaned $800 million to more than 3600 clients over the past 90 days. Fremont Bank plans to provide an additional 15,000-20,000 homeowners the opportunity to lower their mortgage payments by the end of 2009.

This increase in loan originations has also created many new East Bay jobs, as the Bank has hired 100 new professional mortgage associates this year in an effort to meet high service level standards the Bank is known for.  The bank also plans to continue growing its staffing levels as the lending demand continues.

 In the wake of the Obama Administration’s Home Affordability Program that would allow millions of Americans to refinance their mortgages, the program also permits homeowners to refinance up to 105% of the value of their homes without mortgage insurance.
